Panama City Fire Rescue sent a first-alarm assignment – multiple engines, a tower truck and a battalion chief – to a single-story home on Hamilton Avenue around 5:24 AM Thursday after smoke was spotted on an electrical switch box inside the home.
Everyone inside was already out when crews arrived, and firefighters reported nothing showing from the outside. Part of the response was canceled as units confirmed the situation was minor. Hamilton Avenue runs through the Cove neighborhood near East Business 98.
No road closures were reported.
