How Emerald Coast Bookings collects, checks, and presents public records and scanner reports from Northwest Florida.

Who we are
Emerald Coast Bookings is an independent public record directory and local reporting site covering Okaloosa, Walton, Bay, Santa Rosa, and Escambia counties in Florida. The Emerald Coast Bookings editorial team runs the site. We are not affiliated with any sheriff’s office, police department, court, or government agency. Official county sources remain the authoritative record.
Booking records
Booking records come directly from each county sheriff’s office booking log. We do not alter names, charge descriptions, or booking details. County pages refresh daily as new bookings are published.
A booking record reflects an arrest and booking, nothing more. Charges can be reduced, dropped, or dismissed, and every person listed is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
How our scanner reports are made
Scanner Reports cover Bay, Okaloosa, and Escambia counties. Each report is written in our own words, with our own map graphic, from public sources:
- Bay County: public police, fire, and EMS dispatch traffic, transcribed to plain English and mapped.
- Okaloosa County: sheriff and police releases, booking and court records, agency alerts, and local news.
- Escambia County: sheriff’s office releases, booking records, court filings, and local news.
Our rules for every report:
- We name people only when police or the responsible agency releases the name.
- We do not publish the names of victims, juveniles, or uncharged individuals from scanner traffic or reports, except when an agency releases the name of a missing person to ask for the public’s help.
- We show locations at the city level, not a subject’s street address.
- We do not copy other outlets’ photos or text. Maps and graphics are our own.
- Early dispatch information is often incomplete and sometimes wrong. We update reports as agencies confirm details.

Corrections
If something on this site is factually wrong, tell us. We check it against the source record and correct it promptly. Material corrections are noted on the page. Email contact@emeraldcoastbookings.com or use our contact page.
Record and photo removal
Removal is free, always. Any person whose arrest booking photograph appears on this site, or their legal representative, can ask for its removal in writing. No court outcome, ID or court documents are required. We confirm within 24 hours, then respond and remove the photograph within 5 business days, faster than the 10 calendar days Florida Statute 901.43 allows. If a case was dismissed, dropped, sealed, or expunged, we will also remove the record itself at no cost. We never charge a fee, and we do not respond to paid “reputation” services.
