Deputies say a domestic argument in Cantonment Tuesday night ended with a man being stabbed with a screwdriver. A 61-year-old Pensacola woman is charged with attempted homicide, which means she is accused of trying to kill him. His injuries were not life-threatening.

A 51-year-old man at the home was also arrested. His charge, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, applies when someone with a prior felony conviction is accused of having a weapon.

Jail records show both were booked around 4 a.m. Wednesday, nearly five hours after the incident. The roster lists her charge under the broad heading “homicide,” but the reported charge is attempted homicide and the man survived. Both are held without bond, and a judge reviews the case at first appearance, within 24 hours of arrest.

Charges are allegations. Everyone is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
