Two More Elevator Rescues
Sun Oct 11, 2026 at 8:07 AM CT · PANAMA CITY BEACH · Bay County
That makes six. Beach firefighters ran two more elevator calls before 8:30 this morning. Two people were stuck in an elevator on the ninth floor of the Ocean Villa on Front Beach Road, and crews were sent to another entrapment at the Reflections at Bay Point on Marriott Drive that cleared while they were on the way.
We posted earlier about the overnight streak – four rescues between Saturday afternoon and dawn. The storm has moved on, but the beach’s elevators are still feeling it. Preliminary scanner traffic – not official reports.
