Man found incoherent in the water off Front Beach Road

Officers found a man in his 40s lying in the water and unable to speak in full sentences off Front Beach Road near the Fontainebleau Terrace area late Sunday night. He was taken into custody for his own safety around 11:41 PM.

Being in the gulf at night while impaired is how drownings happen – even in shallow water.
