Seven. And this one trapped five people. Firefighters were called to the Ocean Reef condos on the west end of Front Beach Road around 8:30 tonight, where five people were stuck in an elevator. Crews cut and locked out the power, and everyone got out safe.
That is the seventh elevator rescue on the beach since Saturday afternoon – we covered the overnight streak and this morning’s pair in earlier posts. Preliminary scanner traffic – not official reports.
